P.O.W.E.R. is a European project funded by the European Union’s CERV program, through the Daphne call, and promoted by the NGO WeWorld in collaboration with ABD and Action Aid Hellas. EMPOW(H)ER aims to strengthen the capacities of public and private entities to promote the employment inclusion of women victims of violence, LGBTQIAP+ individuals, and those with migrant backgrounds in the Belluno and Imperia areas.
The project is based on a partnership with complementary expertise.
Ondamind APS oversees capacity-building and training programs, working to recognize multiple discrimination through mindfulness methodologies, non-formal education, and participatory processes.
Materahub, a consortium specializing in cultural and creative industries, supports the construction of networks, the development of replicable methodologies, and the drafting of final guidelines, transforming economic independence into a lever for empowerment and violence prevention.
NINA APS, through the social enterprise NINA KAKAW, develops job placement programs for women victims of violence and people in vulnerable situations. These activities strengthen autonomy and skills, addressing the structural and systemic inequalities that hinder access to dignified employment opportunities.
goals
The project develops targeted training programs and an integrated, replicable, and scalable methodology, promoting collaborative networks, intersectional approaches, and effective interventions.
outputs
- Capacity Building: 8 hours of specialized training to provide professionals with the tools needed to recognize, prevent, and manage intersectional discrimination in the workplace.
- Sharing Successful Experiences: Information sessions dedicated to the presentation of a successful case study, to inspire the local network and demonstrate that inclusive employment is possible.
- Targeted Local Support: 4 hours of specific training for the Imperia and Belluno authorities, with the aim of strengthening local cooperation and promoting the adoption of best practices.
- Creating a Network Model: Creation of a shared intervention model applicable to other regions.
- Publishing Guidelines: We will develop a practical document of Guidelines to systematize the methodologies developed and concretely support future employment paths for women and vulnerable people.
- Awareness-Raising Events: 3 public events in the participating regions to disseminate the project’s results, present the Guidelines, and expand our network to new citizens and stakeholders.
