Materahub at the World Entrepreneurship Investment Forum in Bahrain: Focus on Orange Economy and Sustainability

Paolo Montemurro, Director of Materahub, at WEIF 2026 in Bahrain: a global dialogue on the Orange Economy, Green, and Blue Innovation for Mediterranean sustainable development.

From 8 to 11 February 2026, Paolo Montemurro, Director of Materahub, took part in the World Entrepreneurship Investment Forum (WEIF) in Bahrain, one of the leading global platforms dedicated to entrepreneurship, investment, and sustainable development.

Each year, the WEIF brings together policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators from around the world to engage in high-level dialogue on global economic transformation and strategies for inclusive, resilient, and future-oriented growth.

Within this international setting, Materahub’s participation represents a valuable opportunity to connect the Mediterranean experience with emerging global innovation ecosystems and bring forward a global conversation on the Orange Economy, a sector which UNIDO Bahrain started to support with a dedicated program and call from last year.

On 11 February, Paolo Montemurro spoke as a panellist in the Panel “Tri-Economy Advantage: Leveraging Green, Blue, and Orange Innovation for Sustainable Growth”, contributing the perspective of the cultural and creative industries as a strategic driver of sustainable development. His intervention reflected Materahub’s long-standing commitment to working at the intersection of culture, social impact, innovation, and territorial development, with a strong focus on the Mediterranean region.

Materahub’s presence at the WEIF is also part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening both its international visibility and local positioning, fostering dialogue between global perspectives and place-based practices, and opening new pathways for collaboration across economic, cultural, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

The participation at WEIF has been an opportunity to strengthen the links with UNIDO Bahrain and to meet colleagues and entrepreneurs part of the Creative Business Cup network.
