Matera, "Le tecniche solidali dell'artigianato"
From July 22 to 24, five national organizations from the third sector and vocational training, all members of the Scuola Centrale Formazione network, gathered in Matera. They focused on craftsmanship, inclusion, and exchanging best practices. The aim was to learn more about the Oltre l’Arte Cooperative and their solidarity workshop.
This experience is the result of the collaboration between Scuola Centrale Formazione and Materahub, partners in the European project MOSAIC, which focuses on inclusion in vocational training within the craftsmanship sector. Materahub, committed to expanding exchange and training opportunities for the cultural and creative sectors at local, national, and European levels, actively promoted and supported this initiative with great enthusiasm.

Recovering Past Stories for the Future in Matera
In mid-July, Consorzio Materahub hosted the Restory partnership, a Horizon research project led by Babeș-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca, Romania) and involving researchers and community development experts from 20 institutions across 12 European countries. This project aims to analyze resource management strategies from the past 800 years in both rural and urban communities to offer contemporary generations valuable examples of sustainable development.
For this occasion, Materahub invited experts such as Vania Cauzillo to conduct workshops on collective storytelling and recording methodologies. The team also organized field visits to a Museum of Peasant Culture and an urban community garden. Additionally, inspiring case studies collected by Carlo, Paolo, and Sara from the Materahub team were shared, providing further insights into sustainable practices.
