project description
Social entrepreneurship in local communities (SELC) is the project that links the experience in the field of 6 international partners. It is under the sign of the social economy ecosystem, social business incubation models and crowdfunding. The project also includes an innovative training component based on the principles of design thinking and human centered design.
We want SELC to become an open hub of resources and useful materials for entrepreneurs who want to start a business with a strong social impact in local communities. In order to support them, we have encapsulated our experience into numerous webinars, tools and support guides you can freely access on the platform. We aim to create a SELC Community where the know-how transfer is an essential part.
Through the project we are providing guidance and training for 60 adults with social innovation ideas, and 12 of them will benefit from crowdfunding campaigns as a source of funding for their social business.
goals
- Developing an integrated, innovative social business incubation model for entrepreneurs in order to start business with strong social impact in local communities (IO1, IO5, IO6, IO2).
- Providing guidance and training for 60 adults and 10 partners’ employees who will improve their skills by learning all steps and tools of the social business incubation models matching the community realities (IO4, IO7).
- Creating an innovative, alternative funding instrument for social entrepreneurs and businesses (IO3).
- Increasing visibility of the social entrepreneurship in more than the 4 partner countries as innovative solution to community wellbeing and generating new jobs.
