Materahub at the Just Fashion Workshop

On June 19–20, Materahub joined the Just Fashion Pilot Workshop in Antwerp, working with partners from 8 countries to support a more sustainable and inclusive fashion industry.

As coordinator of the Staff Jersey pilot, together with ART-ER, Materahub is developing tools like virtual ecodesign and Digital Product Passports (DPPs).

The team is now moving forward with the Climate Transition Plan and pilot implementation.

Materahub’s Annual Lecture at the University of Perugia

On July 4–5, Materahub’s Roberta Capozucca and Eleonora Santini gave the annual lecture at the Master in European Project Design for Culture and Creativity at the University of Perugia.

This 6th edition of the Master trains professionals to work in European cultural and creative projects with a practical, hands-on approach.

The sessions focus on sharing experience, inspiring new ideas, and reflecting on what it means to be a cultural project designer today.

GreenCCIrcle:Join the Local Living Lab in Matera

GreenCCIrcle launches its first Local Living Lab in Matera, inviting local creatives, citizens, and experts to explore sustainable practices in the craft sector.

Participants will:

  • Map local stakeholders
  • Reflect on common challenges and the green transition
  • Co-create ideas for more sustainable solutions

The event offers a chance to be selected for the European Living Lab in Venice, December 2025.

E-ART Open Call: Sustainable Artistic Lab for the Community

Materahub, in collaboration with E-Art and Spazio Y – OFF1C1NA, is launching a five-day artistic lab guided by Giulia Apice and Veronica Neri. Participants will explore alternative techniques using natural colours, rainwater, recovered flowers, and reused fabrics.

No artistic experience is required, just curiosity and a desire to express and experiment. The lab will end with the creation of a collective artwork shaped by shared gestures and diverse perspectives.

The lab will take place at Spazio Y – OFF1C1NA (Via dei Juvenci 11, Roma) from 15 to 19 September 2025. Participants are asked to bring old sheets, blankets, or other household linen. Maximum 10 participants.

CREASSE: Exploring the Social Economy in Rural Europe

Rural communities across Europe are discovering new ways to grow social businesses that support people and the environment. Creasse has brought together 139 experts to explore partnerships and ideas to strengthen this movement.

In 2025, the United Nations celebrates cooperatives worldwide. To highlight this, Creasse shared inspiring stories from social farms, local fashion, and traditional crafts.

Recent visits to a bakery in Spain and a brewery in Italy showed how these businesses can create real social and environmental value.

Craft Mobilities: Open Call for Round 2

The Craft Mobilities programme offers a 10‑day residency for craft practitioners across Europe.

  • Round 1: Closed (selected candidates from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden).
  • Round 2: Open until December 10, 2025. One craft practitioner will be selected from Croatia, France, Ireland, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia (residency to be completed by October 31, 2026).
  • Round 3: Will open in June 2026 (for residencies in 2027).

Hosting organisations from any EU or Creative Europe participating country can also apply and be featured in the programme.
