MateraHub has unveiled its new training programme: the European Specialisation course PICC (Promoting Innovation in the Cultural and Creative Industries).
The program blends theoretical and practical knowledge to equip participants with the skills necessary to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for local and global challenges in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), integrating Architecture, Economics, Design, Marketing, Social Sciences, and Digital Technologies to promote Creativity, Environmental and Cultural Sustainability, strengthen Community Engagement, and foster Cultural Entrepreneurship.
Developed under the Erasmus+ CROP project with the consortium partners, the PICC program is designed to drive innovation and sustainability within the cultural and creative industries while fostering cross-sector collaboration across the European economy.
Its mission is to empower students and professionals to tackle future challenges with advanced, transformative knowledge.
By offering access to powerful insights and thought-provoking ideas, the program helps participants build enduring mental frameworks for creative problem-solving.
Additionally, the PICC program equips learners with a comprehensive set of strategic tools, enabling them to excel in creative planning and execution with a disruptive and forward-thinking mindset. As Prof. Nuno Lacerda Lopes, the Course Coordinator, aptly stated:
“The PICC is not just a course; it’s a platform to develop the ability to innovate, transform, and create social and cultural impact through design and entrepreneurship”.
This vision encapsulates the program’s essence, positioning it as a catalyst for creativity, sustainability, and transformative leadership in the cultural and creative industries.
How is the course structured
Designed as a 6-month program, PICC requires participants to earn a minimum of 30 ECTS to obtain the European Specialization Course certificate.
The program includes 10 modules—2 compulsory and 8 electives—each carrying between 3 and 6 ECTS.
Delivered entirely online, the course combines 120 hours of asynchronous learning with 40 hours of synchronous sessions led by internationally renowned experts.
The curriculum features interactive workshops, personalized mentoring, and real-world projects, providing participants with the tools and knowledge to apply their learning effectively in community and business contexts.
A Free Pilot Program: A Unique Opportunity
The inaugural PICC Specialisation Course, which will be launched in February 2025, represents a remarkable opportunity for participants to access transformative education free of charge, underscoring MateraHub’s dedication to making innovative learning accessible and advancing the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).
If you missed your chance to apply, don’t worry—there will be more opportunities ahead.
Starting in 2026, the program will transition to a fee-based model, ensuring its sustainability while maintaining the same high standards of excellence in its offerings.
